And further more will he ever smile?

(Basic ignore full alpha pixels added)

The first thing my 4 year old asked was "why is he so sad?" :D

Maybe he has an itch and can't reach it.

So he's Rayman?

In terms of the number of limbs attached to his body, yes :) Otherwise, not much in common, no!

Casey: Can the floating hands be shot across the screen to fight enemies? Also, could we duel weld weapons and fight two enemies at difference quadrants of the screen?

Existential ennui, perhaps. It gets the best of us.

Our poor hero with only scissors for hands, has trouble with his clothes but makes a mean paper snowflake. Oh wait, an upgrade! One scissor and one chainsaw. ;D

Can we please, please have a female character option?

The lack of female characters in games (that are not there to in some way please men), is so tiring.

Also, thank you for doing this series!

Edit: Don't know if it matters, but I'm a 32 year old male.

I feel your pain, monkii. We certainly need a wider variety of protagonists in games, of all varieties. It'd be great if we could have that here. Having said that, I personally wouldn't be too disappointed if it didn't happen.

Casey hasn't revealed very much about the premise or story of the game, or indeed if he's worked it out in any detail or not. All we know is the genre that it's in, plus an idea of the art style. We don't even know if the hero has a name or not.

If the game has a story (and I want to stress once again that we don't know if this is the case or not), then IMO it may be difficult to allow multiple protagonists. The few single-player games which have a story and allow this (the Fable series springs to mind) have their stories carefully written so that it all hangs together.

Also bear in mind that this game doesn't have a budget that we're aware of, so more graphics means Casey's wallet is correspondingly lighter. Casey is too nice to say this, but assuming that it fits with the premise of the game, sending some money his way might be one way that it could happen.

Hell, we've only got placeholder graphics at the moment; it might not be too late for the protagonist just to be female with no male option...?
