what a mindfuck.. i need to see my therapist after that hour. I think I need to put a bullet to my brain, just to feel happy again!

Edit: Anyway I think the last point about Quaternions was missing? So I lost the point why they are more effective. Is this because they are calculated by hardware?

From what I could tell, it's because they are smaller (meaning less memory needed to store them and fewer operations needed to compute with them) and they don't require normalization after every step (every rotation) only once after you're done with your rotation and are ready to display.
