Strange "issue" when looking back at old code
I was looking back at the win32 layer from the early days (ep 004) and I noticed something strange. When I have my windows settings to classic mode (it makes everything look windows 95) there is a weird wave, were you can actually see the pixels being changed one by one (from RenderWeirdGradient <3 ). The strangest thing about it, is the fact that when ever I try to snap a picture of it so I could actually show you what I am talking about the wave of pixels disappears. When I have my settings back to normal the wave is not there.

I looked farther ahead and the issue is still there.

PS. I swear I'm not crazy! :P

My guess would be that Windows disables compositor in classic mode. And if compositor is disabled then what you are seeing could be vsync issue - basically you are seeing screen tearing which you can not capture in screenshot. But I could be wrong... that's only my guess.

Windows Vista and Windows 7 allow the user to disable Desktop Window Manager by selecting the Windows Basic appearance settings.
